Star-Crossed Trails....an actual encounter with an actual celebrity....

The stars were shining bright over Thousand Oaks, CA last night as Bill Nye The Science Guy attended the Riders’ Forum Theatre show.

“My cred with my millennial kids just shot through the roof,” enthused a glowing Too Slim. “Bill is a long time fan of Ranger Doug's Classic Cowboy Corral. He listens to us Sunday mornings while he makes scones. He sent me his scone recipe!”

“What a great show tonight,” said Bill. “Your close harmonies, the jokes, we loved it.”

We signed his Ranger Doug guitar book, posed for selfies, and generally enjoyed a lovefest. No handshakes though... ”I have a head cold and I don’t want to give it to you guys. You have to sing in Modesto tomorrow.”

“We met Mr. Wizard years ago at the Hollywood Bowl,” said a chatty Joey.

“Yes, I once had lunch with him,” said the Science Guy, before easing out the door.

Thanks Bill. See you again on down this impossibly long and winding trail.
